I would like to be able to dress up in period costumes for a day, just to feel what it was like

Sonia, you are right about being in shape or looking in shape with the corsets. I could do with one after stuffing myself over the Christmas holidays lol!.

But like you and tearose, I´d love to it too including the hair. Late Biedermeier would be mine Smile.

I love them! I used to do 18th century reenacting, so have made/sewn many items from the period Historically accurate, hand sewing too. Lots of layers and the stays are a thing to get used to at first, but pretty comfortable. You just dont have as much fluidity of movement and they give you great posture Smile
